Our Story
Joseph Mwansa grew up witnessing his community walk miles for water and suffer from preventable diseases. After spending 14 years in Australia—where clean, safe water was a given—he couldn’t ignore the contrast.
That experience inspired him to launch Global Empowers, a mission-driven organization focused on ensuring no community is left behind when it comes to life’s basic needs.

" Growing up in the rural village of Kawambwa, Zambia, I spent the first 14 years of my life drinking from a shallow, dirty well. I witnessed firsthand the struggles of my community as they battled waterborne diseases and traveled long distances to fetch safe water.
This experience shaped my understanding of the vital role clean water plays in health and well-being.
After 14 years in Australia, where I experienced the profound impact of access to clean water, I felt a deep responsibility to make a difference back home.
My journey led me to establish Global Empowers, focused on implementing sustainable solutions for water access.
I founded Global Empowers to help communities like mine break free from the cycles of poverty through sustainable, locally driven solutions.
This initiative is not just about providing water; it’s about fostering sustainable change that empowers local communities, creates jobs, and ultimately saves lives.
We don’t just install water stations—we invest in long-term community transformation. "
